Gugu Mbatha-Raw

Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a young English actress born in the year 1983 in an Oxford Hospital to proud South African parents. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a nurse. Unfortunately, her parents separated when she was only a year old. Gugu, short for Gugulethu, which means “our pride” in Zulu, was brought up by her mother in Oxfordshire. She not only acts but also sings, dances and plays the saxophone. These natural talents have won her a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

Gugu is best known for her appearances in “Spooks” and the popular sci-fi series “Doctor Who” where she played the role of Tish Jones. Her latest break is the lead female role in the spy drama “Undercovers” by J. J. Abram.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw is 5 feet 4 inches tall and has similar features with Angela Griffin and Sophie Okonedo. Her naturally wavy and curly black hair complements her slender figure. She often wears her hair in an updo style that is formal, which fits per oval-shaped face perfectly.
